Yet Another Fantastic Review

Once again, Lily and I are happy dancing around our laptops, as we’ve received another review for Grand Slam. This time, it’s from Night Owl Reviews. Here’s what they had to say:

“Grand Slam is the first book in the Raw Talent series by Lucy Felthouse. Marie Sherratt, a psychologist, has been hired to work with Los Carlos Tennis Academy to work with Travis Connolly. Travis is not interested in talking to a psychologist, but he is interested in other things from the good doctor.

Travis is recovering from an injury in America, where he is starting over. In the months he has been here, he turned his back on the BDSM lifestyle that he embraced in England. Travis is a hot and sexy man with an arrogant attitude.

Marie has been hired to work with Travis. She agrees with Travis to learn BDSM if he works with her. Shortly after the agreement their play turns to a real relationship. Marie was slightly older than Travis. She is very inquisitive.

The chemistry between Travis and Marie is hot. The sex scenes were sizzling. My main issue is the BDSM scenes seemed water down by both Marie’s consistent questioning of Travis’s commands and Travis was not really convincing as a Dom. He came across as a man who liked to dabble in the lifestyle.

Overall, this was an interesting story one that should appeal to both vanilla readers and BDSM readers. While I found the idea of Marie being Travis’s psychologist a bit off because in the real world I would think she would be facing some sort of disciplinary actions. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.” 4 out of 5, Night Owl Reviews

Hurrah for fab reviews!

Sunday Snog – Grand Slam

Sunday Snog

Grand SlamGrand Slam is back with another Sunday Snog, woohoo! As the name suggests, Sunday Snog is where a snippet from a published work, WIP or to-be-published work is shared to give readers a taste, and hopefully make them hot under the collar 😉 Once you’ve checked out this super snog from book one in the Raw Talent series, be sure to head back to Blissekiss and check out all the other awesome kisses. Enjoy!

By the time the elevator disgorged us onto our floor, I was buzzing with excitement. The adrenaline was still pumping through my veins. I walked swiftly down the corridor, Marie close behind, then waited as she put the keycard into the slot on the door. After a few seconds—which felt like forever—the light flashed green and we barged into the room.

Flipping the lock behind us, I dropped my bag, pulled Marie’s from her shoulder and tossed it on top of mine. Then I leaned down and captured her lips, pushing my tongue between them and delving into her warm, sweet mouth. I slipped my arms around her and cupped her delectable—and probably still tender—buttocks, pulling her tightly to me. I didn’t know if the gasp she emitted into my mouth was because I’d yanked her so hard or because her arse was indeed sore. Either way I was happy so I continued to kiss her with a fierce desperation.

Eventually though, we had to come up for air. Her dark eyes flashed, the pupils wide. That, her pink cheeks and her expression told me that she was just as turned-on as I was.

Hump Day Hook #4 – Grand Slam

humpdayhookHi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, where authors share a paragraph or two from their published works or WIPs. Here’s more from Grand Slam, out now. Enjoy!

There was a photograph of him in the magazine, set in the center and to the right of the journalist’s report. The picture showed him celebrating after claiming the winning point against Rudolph Napak at the French Open the previous year. Two fists hoisted aloft, he was giving a wide-mouthed yell of pure victory. It was such a primitive, limbic pose. A primal response given throughout time to tell the world of a successful hunt, a battle won or in this case, a ball dodging an opponent and landing in a box.

I cupped my hands around her face and gave her a kiss so heartfelt that it made my cock stir in my shorts and my heart pound so hard I thought it would explode from my chest. “You, my darling, have nothing to be scared of. I will never, ever, intentionally hurt you, except in the bedroom, of course.” I winked at that so she couldn’t mistake my intent. “And as I’ve already said, I will make you happy or die trying. I fucking love you, Marie Sherratt. Will you just give me a chance? If it doesn’t work out and we end up wanting to throttle each other, at least we’ll have tried. And we’ll never know otherwise, will we?”

She grabbed my head and pulled me back down for another kiss. Her tongue swept into my mouth with such ardor that blood filled my cock at an alarming speed. If she didn’t stop soon, our conversation would be over because I’d throw her on the floor, grab another condom from the drawer and fuck her until she screamed.

The thrust of the brakes pressed me into the seat, the plane rattled and juddered as deceleration took a firm grip of the final moments of my one-way trip. Needing mental distraction, I flicked open my copy of Global Tennis, now looking a little worse for wear after being crushed against me.

I’d read it cover to cover in the last twelve hours but still, one article kept pulling me back. Not because Travis Connolly was one hell of a hot specimen of the male species, but because he was the newbie at Los Carlos Tennis Academy. He and I had something in common because I too was a new recruit. Not that you’d ever catch me on a court holding a racquet though. Playing tennis wasn’t my thing at all.

“Crap, that’s too good,” he groaned, suddenly spinning, forcing me to release him. “You want me on my knees again?”

He kissed me, shoving his tongue into my mouth, sweeping around ’til he found mine.

I gave as good as I got, holding him to me tight, again not caring about water or cum stains on my dress.

Another shiver of pleasure attacked his body and I squeezed him to me tighter.

He slid his fingers into my hair, holding me firm as his kiss intensified. I hadn’t orgasmed but I was tingling all over, my knees weak, my breaths hard to catch.

Eventually he pulled away but kept his lips hovering over mine. “You’re making me break rules,” he said with a shake of his head.

The entire cabin was devoid of chatter now, everyone probably, like me, sending mental encouragement to the front deck. Fellow passengers gripped their armrests. I clutched my magazine to my chest and stared out of the window at the rapidly approaching ground.

I held my breath as the wheels bumped onto the runway once, twice, a slight tilt to the right, or was it a lurch? I gasped, closed my eyes and visualized the plane’s smooth roll to a halt, happy, smiling faces climbing down the steps into the Californian sunshine and families and friends reuniting in arrivals.

Grand Slam’s First Review

Less than a handful of days after release, we’ve already had a review… and it’s a fab one! Michelle Graham reviewed Grand Slam, and here’s what she had to say:

“Every top athlete works damn hard to get where they are, but sometimes life happens and something can throw them off their game. In Grand Slam, Travis Connolly is the top seed men’s tennis player, but a car accident leaves him recovering physically and mentally. Enter sports psychologist Marie Sherratt. In her efforts to help Travis, she discovers his darker desires, and he begins to help her understand just what this BDSM stuff is all about.

What results is a hot, torrid affair that will leave the reader tingly and warm.

I have to say, I love both Lily Harlem and Lucy Felthouse on their own, but when they team up, man can they write a damn fine book! The dual first person narrative is well done, with both Travis and Marie having their own distinct voices, and it draws you deep into each point of view.

The sex scenes are hot, and the build-up of sexual tension between the two main characters is expertly paced. The BDSM in the book isn’t too heavy, so even more vanilla readers will enjoy it, but there’s enough detail for those who enjoy the kinky stuff, too.

I don’t want to give the ending away, but let’s just say this book will leave readers…satisfied. I highly recommend it!”

He latched on to my neck, kissing, biting, sucking. I arched for more, more of everything he could give me and was thankful for his solid weight preventing me from completely losing myself.

“Ah yeah, babe,” he groaned, releasing my neck and nibbling his way toward my mouth. His breaths were blowing like a gale, his chest rising and falling hard against mine. “I think we can safely say… You’re a most excellent student.”

I giggled, found his mouth and kissed him, hard, passionately, thoroughly, to show him that I absolutely approved of his teaching techniques. There was no one better than Travis Connolly. He was number one in the world at more things than just tennis.

Hump Day Hook #1 – Grand Slam

humpdayhookHi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, where authors share a paragraph or two from their published works or WIPs. This is the first appearance for Grand Slam, out Friday. Enjoy!

This was the most terrifying part of the whole journey. It was the unknown, the would-or-wouldn’t-we-survive question that hung in the air like a sharp, unwanted smell.

I knew the wheels were down, I’d heard a hiss and a great creak below the fuselage some time ago, so that was somewhat reassuring. Also the pilot appeared competent. He’d navigated our way across the Atlantic and then skillfully skirted the San Gabriel Mountains during our descent. But even so, my abdomen felt light and my body heavy. Despite my clattering heart rate, I hardly dared breathe in case I upset the delicate balance of the enormous plane.
